ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Jacqueline, the creator behind Sweet Side of Life! I enjoy turning sugar into sparkling gourmet treats. I’m a proud mom of two amazing kiddos (one is an enthusiastic taste-tester while the other doesn't enjoy it) and have a wonderfully supportive husband who’s always on the move helping with my creating adventures.

I discovered Japanese crystal candy in 2021. In 2022, I set out to create these treats for friends and family, simply for the joy of creating something beautiful and unexpected. What began as a curiosity quickly became a passion. I fell in love with the artistry of it — the way light dances through each piece, the endless flavor combinations, and the freedom to design shapes and textures that feel more like tiny works of art than candy.

When I’m not creating crystal candy, I’m an interior designer and holiday decorator (J Osborne Designs), designing and styling homes and businesses across the East Coast. That creative background deeply influences my candy-making — from color palettes and balance to texture, detail, and presentation. For me, candy is simply another medium for design.

This is more than a business. It’s what I love. It’s where creativity, craftsmanship, and joy come together. Every piece is made with intention, care, and a little bit of magic—because life is sweeter when it sparkles.
